The ABS Valve Stem Height Gauge is a specially machined bar that fits into the cam bore with an easy to read dial indicator.
When disassembling the heads, you simply set the bar in the cam bore, move the indicator over the valve stem and note the reading from the cam bore. After the seats have been cut and the valves ground, install the valves and take another indicator reading. Grind the stems to the original reading and you're finished!
