Polishes cams up to 76" long
5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1-1/8", 1-1/2" & 2" Lobes
Adjust taper for whateer may be required.
Does not change the profile.
Polish camshafts with the gear mounted, no need to remove!
We also sell shot peen blast cabinets for peening diesel camshafts! Use .003 - .008 stainless steel shot for this job, it makes the cam look like new!
Every roller or follower cam will wear a spot on the peak and need to be squared and polished.
This tool follows the profile, 3 laps across the top will square the cam without changing the profile. Wear in period will not require a valve readjustment, no backlash problems.
